Passion for Cycling - Ride with Passion

The special ingredient that unites the cycling community is the fiery passion we all have for two wheels, regardless of the disparate reasons why we chose to hop on a bike in the first place. From recreational riders to pro racers and cycling brands, we possess different motives that keep us rolling but there are several shared benefits of riding a bike that everyone enjoys.


The sense of individual freedom lights a fire under many cyclists, liberating riders from restrictive transit timetables, gas-guzzling cars, and frustrating traffic. Bikes encourage people to be self-reliant and empower them to have their own schedules. When it’s just you and the bike, there’s time for self-reflection and an opportunity to enjoy the world around you from a unique perspective.


Cycling inspired personal freedom as well as creates strong bonds between riders that share a passion for cycling. There are far too many cyclist communities to count, but a few examples include racers, recreational clubs, messengers, bike polo, BMX, Bike Life, and so much more.

Life-long passion

The way we see it is that once you’re a cyclist, you’re one for life. As the old adage goes, “it’s just like riding a bicycle”. People use this common expression to refer to a skill that you’ll never forget, even after a long hiatus or hanging up your wheels for a period of time. The freedom and community of cycling encourage us to ride with passion year in and year out.


One of the biggest reasons people are such big fans of cycling is the enormous physical health benefits. Cycling is an enjoyable, low-impact form of exercise that lets riders get their workout in while taking in the natural beauty of the outdoors, whether that’s in the forest, on neighborhood bike paths, or on hilly roads.

Mental health

In addition to improving our physical well-being, riding a bike has a positive impact on our mental health. Studies show that cycling releases the mood-boosting chemicals of serotonin, dopamine, and endorphins that help regulate our emotions and improve our mental state. Getting good exercise can significantly help out with sleep quality and reduce levels of stress, depression, or anxiety. Many cyclists feel a sense of peace and calm while pedaling and disconnecting from the hustle and bustle of daily life, even if only for a couple of hours.


Using a bicycle to get from point A to point B is a straightforward reason to love cycling that can ignite a lifelong passion for two-wheelers. Commuters actively choose to ride a bike and get around the city in the most sustainable and efficient way possible. Bike-shares and growing bicycle infrastructure in cities across the world are encouraging more people to make the switch from using cars and public transit and moving us toward a greener and more equitable urban future.
