HELMET SIZE

HOW TO MEASURE YOUR HEAD AND FIND YOUR HELMET SIZE

1. Wrap a flexible measuring tape around your head about 2.5cm above your eyebrows, or in the center of your forehead. Make sure the tape is level from front to back. Helmets sizes are listed in centimeters, so try to measure your head in centimeters if possible.

(If you don’t have a flexible measuring tape, use a string or shoelace to measure your head. Then, lay the string down against a rigid tape measure to find your head’s circumference).

2. Compare your head’s circumference to the available helmet sizes and choose the appropriate size. If you are in-between sizes, choose the smaller option— a snug helmet is safer than a loose-fitting helmet.

3. If you can, try on the helmet before you buy it. Not all head shapes are the same, so find a helmet that works well with your head. Even if the size is correct, some helmet designs can be too short from front to back— this can uncomfortably squeeze your forehead.
